Version 2026-10-03 · Effective October 3, 2026
Please read Section 14 carefully. It requires you and TextTasker to resolve disputes through individual binding arbitration instead of in court, and it waives your right to bring or join a class action, collective action, or representative action, and your right to a jury trial. You can opt out of arbitration within 30 days of accepting these Terms, as explained in Section 14.10.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Inkidink Holdings, LLC, doing business as TextTasker ("TextTasker," "we," "us"). They govern your use of the TextTasker reminder service, our text messaging program, and our website (together, the "Service").
When you first text TextTasker, we send you a link to these Terms and ask you to reply AGREE. By replying AGREE, you confirm that you have had the opportunity to read these Terms, including the arbitration agreement and class action waiver in Section 14, and you agree to be bound by them. We record the date, time, phone number, and version of the Terms you accepted. We will not set up reminders for you until you accept. If you do not agree, do not reply AGREE and do not use the Service.
If you use TextTasker on behalf of a business or other organization, you agree to these Terms on its behalf and confirm that you have authority to do so. In that case, "you" includes that organization.
TextTasker lets you create reminders by sending text messages or photos to our number. We interpret your messages, schedule reminders, and text them to you at the requested time. TextTasker is currently in beta, which means features may change and the Service may occasionally be unavailable.
You must be at least 18 years old and the account holder or authorized user of the mobile number you use with TextTasker.
Plans and free trial. When you sign up, you choose a plan: Individual (monthly or yearly), a Family group (up to 4 people), a Team group (up to 10 people), or a custom group for more than 10. Every new account starts with a free 7-day trial, and you don't need a card to start it. Prices are shown on our website, in our texts, and on the payment page before you are charged.
Paying. To keep using the Service after the trial, you subscribe through a secure payment link we text you. Payments are processed by Stripe, our payment processor; we never see or store your full card number. If you add a card during the trial, your first charge happens when the trial ends. Subscriptions are billed monthly (or yearly, if you choose a yearly plan) and renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel at any time by texting BILLING and following the link; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we don't give refunds for partial billing periods unless the law requires it.
If you don't pay. If your trial ends without a card on file, reminders keep arriving for 3 more days. After that, your reminders are paused: they are kept but not sent, and you can't add new ones until you pay. If an account stays paused for 30 days, we delete it and its reminders. If a payment fails, we'll text you a link to update your card.
Groups. The person who starts a group pays for it and has full access. Everyone who joins it is covered while they're in it, with member access: they receive the reminders the group sets for them and can reply DONE or SNOOZE. A member who wants full access (setting their own reminders, setting reminders for others, and to-do lists) can upgrade for a separate monthly price that the member pays. If you were paying for your own plan when you joined, it ends at the end of its current billing period. If you leave a group, you'll need your own plan after any remaining free trial or a 3-day grace period; a member full-access subscription becomes an Individual plan at the Individual price. If the person who pays for a group leaves it, the next person in charge has 3 days to start paying before the group's reminders pause. Changing plans changes your price, prorated for the current billing period.
To-do lists. To-do lists are included with Individual plans and for the person who starts a group, within the word limit shown in our texts and on your account page. Longer lists or other extra features may require an upgrade.
Referral credits. If someone uses your referral code when they sign up and then makes their first payment, you earn one free month: we take one month of your plan's price off your next bill, add 30 days to your free trial if you're on one, or hold the credit until you start paying. Credits have no cash value, can't be transferred, and end if your account is deleted. You can't refer yourself or use more than one code, and we may limit how many credits you earn in a year. We may change or end the referral program at any time, and we may cancel credits earned through fake accounts or other abuse.
Price changes. Prices are subject to change at any time. If we change the price of your plan, we'll text you at least 30 days before the new price applies to you, and you can cancel anytime before then.
Text messages can be delayed or not delivered due to carrier networks, phone settings, or technical issues, and our AI may occasionally misunderstand a request. Always check the confirmation we send. TextTasker is not a medical device or emergency service and should not be your only reminder for medication, medical care, legal deadlines, or anything where a missed or late reminder could cause harm.
TextTasker uses artificial intelligence to interpret your messages and photos. AI can make mistakes, such as reading a date or time incorrectly. You are responsible for reviewing the confirmation we send and correcting any errors.
You agree not to use TextTasker to send unlawful, harassing, or abusive content; to send messages to people who have not agreed to receive them; to add people to a group without their own opt-in; to attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service; or to use it for spam, marketing, or bulk messaging. We may suspend or end access for violations.
You keep ownership of the messages and photos you send. You give us permission to use them only as needed to provide the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TextTasker and its owners, members, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any losses resulting from missed, late, or incorrect reminders. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose or $50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these limits may not apply to you.
You agree to defend and hold TextTasker harmless from claims by third parties arising from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms, including claims by anyone you sent or tried to send messages to without their consent.
We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will post the new version here and ask you by text to reply AGREE to the updated Terms before you continue using the Service. Changes to Section 14 will not apply to any dispute that arose before the change, unless you agree otherwise. You may stop using the Service at any time by replying STOP.
Before starting any arbitration or court case, you and TextTasker each agree to send the other a written notice describing the dispute and the relief requested, and to try in good faith to resolve it informally for at least 60 days. Notices to TextTasker go to legal@texttasker.com and to the mailing address listed in Section 16. Notices to you go to the phone number or email we have for you. The notice must include your name, the phone number you use with TextTasker, and a description of the dispute. Any deadline for bringing a claim is paused during this 60-day period.
Except as stated in Section 14.6, you and TextTasker agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Service, any text message sent or received through the Service, or our relationship (each a "Claim") will be resolved only by final and binding individual arbitration. This includes Claims based on contract, tort, statute (including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and similar state laws), fraud, or any other legal theory, and Claims that arose before you accepted these Terms.
You and TextTasker each agree to bring Claims only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, consolidated, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's Claims, may not preside over any form of class, collective, or representative proceeding, and may award relief only in favor of the individual party seeking relief and only to the extent necessary to provide relief for that party's individual Claim.
You and TextTasker each waive any right to a jury trial for any Claim, including any Claim that proceeds in court.
The arbitrator decides all questions about the scope, interpretation, applicability, and enforceability of this Section 14, except that a court decides (a) whether Section 14.3 or 14.8 is enforceable, (b) any dispute about the opt-out in Section 14.10, and (c) whether a Claim falls under Section 14.6.
The arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, or under its Commercial Arbitration Rules if you use the Service on behalf of a business, as modified by these Terms. The rules are available at adr.org. The Federal Arbitration Act governs the interpretation and enforcement of this Section 14. The arbitration will take place by video or phone, or in the county where you live if a hearing in person is required. For Claims under $10,000, TextTasker will pay all AAA filing, administration, and arbitrator fees, unless the arbitrator finds your Claim frivolous. For larger Claims, fees are allocated under the AAA rules. Each party pays its own attorneys' fees unless the law or the arbitrator awards them.
If 25 or more similar Claims are filed against TextTasker by or with the help of the same or coordinated counsel or organization, the parties agree that they will be administered in batches of up to 25 Claims, with only one batch proceeding at a time, the same arbitrator assigned to all Claims in a batch, and fees for each batch charged as a single case. Any deadline for bringing a Claim is paused for Claims waiting in a later batch. The parties agree this process is designed to resolve Claims efficiently and fairly.
If a court decides that Section 14.3 cannot be enforced for a particular Claim or request for relief, then that Claim or request (and only that one) will be removed from arbitration and decided in court, after any individual Claims are arbitrated, and Section 14.3 will continue to apply to everything else. In no case will a Claim proceed as a class, collective, or representative arbitration. If any other part of this Section 14 is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
You can opt out of this agreement to arbitrate by sending us a written opt-out notice within 30 days after you first accept these Terms. Email legal@texttasker.com with the subject "Arbitration Opt-Out," your name, and the phone number you use with TextTasker, or mail the same information to the address in Section 16. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms, including the jury trial waiver to the extent permitted by law, and does not affect your use of the Service.
This Section 14 continues to apply after you stop using the Service or your account ends.
Except as Section 14 provides, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any Claim that proceeds in court, other than in small claims court, will be brought only in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you and TextTasker consent to their jurisdiction.
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a part of these Terms is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them in connection with a merger, sale, or reorganization. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and TextTasker about the Service.
